How do I get the final prize for a temporary expedition?

As well as a guaranteed reward for completing all tasks in a temporary expedition, while you explore a temporary island, you automatically take part in a contest with other players. The player who takes the first place for most points collected while exploring the location gets a reward that is displayed on the leaderboard. The final rewards for the contest are awarded at the end of the event.
